Procedural Roguelike Platformer

What is it?

Enter a procedurally generated realm of horror. Discover the artifacts. Lose your sanity.

What's the backstory?

This project was developed during Epic MegaJam 2020.

What did I contribute?

I developed a system to randomly generate floors, walls, doors, and other level features. I really want to keep pushing the procedural generation and continue turning these spaces into explorable MC Escher drawings.

I developed the gameplay mechanics, including:

  • The sanity meter and sanity shader
  • The inventory system and gui
  • The item abilities
  • The dynamic audio effects
  • The lighting
  • The doors
  • The teleportation crystals

I also made the tentacle mesh and shader.
